The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations under the country’s 10 education boards began across the country Sunday, amid appeals from the education minister and the guardians against any disruptive political programme at this time.
A total of 6,778 students were absent on first day of exams.
Meanwhile, nine students were expelled for adopting unfair means in the test. Of those expelled, six were from technical education board and two from madrasa board.Of the absentees, 876 were from Dhaka, 602 from Comilla, 442 from Jessore, 337 from Rajshahi, 318 from Chittagong, 197 from Sylhet, 212 from Barisal, 342 from Dinajpur, 2400 from madrasa and 1052 from technical boards.

Inter-education board coordinator and chairman of Dhaka education board Taslima Begum confirmed the figure.
Examinees under eight general education boards sat for Bangla (compulsory) first paper, Easy Bangla first paper and Bangla Language and Bangladeshi Culture first paper respectively from 10:00am.
Madrasa students took Quran Mazid and Tajbid and those under vocational board sat for Bangla-2 creative test.
This year, a total of 14,32,727 examinees from 27,489 institutions are taking SSC and equivalent exams at 2942 centres. Of them, 733,202 are male candidates and 699,525 females.

ssc exam result 2015 is said to be published on first week of may 2015. Because in the last two year, the data analysis said the probable date for SSC result publication 9 May’13.
Of them, 10,90,555 students took part in SSC tests under eight boards, 239,749 under madrasa board and 102,423 under the technical board.
As many as 296 overseas students under Dhaka board also sat for exams in seven overseas centres.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid urged all political parties not to call any harmful programme that disrupts the ongoing public exams.
He made the call through the media after visiting Motijheel Government Boys’ High School exam hall in the capital.
Students have prepared themselves fully now as there are no programmes like agitation, hartal and blockade, Nahid said. “I talked to students and their guardians who have requested us to request political parties not to call any destructive programmes which could hamper exams.”

Necessary steps have been taken to conduct the exams in a peaceful manner, he said, adding that results would be published within sixty days after exams like previous years.
“Due to Upazila elections, two exams have been deferred. But students could enrol in college within July,” he observed.
The minister said necessary measures have been taken to prevent question leaks. “We’ve already directed divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and UNOs to stay alert against the possibility of question leaks.”

An advisory board made by the director of public education department of greater Bengal was given the authority to govern the board.The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka is an autonomous organization, mainly responsible for holding two public examinations (SSC & HSC) and for providing recognition to the newly established non-govt. educational institution and also for the supervision, control and developments of those institutions.
